Create goals for your subathon

Subgoals, bitgoals and donationgoals: milestones, periods, sets, OBS overlay and public page.

Updated September 16, 2026

What goals are for

A goal is a milestone: "100 subs = emote reveal", "500 = 12 more hours". The timer counts time, goals count what your community brings in, and show the progress on stream.

It all happens on the Goals page. There are three counters, each with its own milestones:

  • Subgoals, in subs, gifted subs and re-subs.
  • Bitgoals, in bits, power-ups included.
  • Donationgoals, in your local currency.

Create your first milestone

  1. In the Add a milestone card, pick the counter: subs, bits or donations.
  2. Enter the Threshold, 100 for example.
  3. Write the Reward / label: this is what your viewers will read.
  4. Pick a colour, and a description if you want to say more.
  5. Save: the milestone joins the list, and the progress bar updates on its own.

Add as many milestones as you like on the same counter: they chain up, and the block always shows the next one to reach.

Choose the period counted

Each group of milestones counts over a period, set with Period:

  • Subathon (current session): since the start of your current subathon. This is the default.
  • Daily, weekly, monthly, yearly: the counter goes back to zero each new period, and the reset date is shown.
  • Custom (since date): you set the starting point yourself.

Under each group, the Counting since line reminds you when the counter started.

Calendar periods are archived: you keep the history of the months or weeks already finished, instead of losing everything at each reset.

What counts towards a goal

By default every event counts, including those that added no time: a sub below the end threshold in Set Timer, or one arriving after the subathon ended.

If you would rather have your goals follow the time actually earned, turn on Only count events that added time at the top of the Goals page. The setting applies to all your sets.

Organise with sets

A set groups milestones together and has its own links and its own style. That is how you can keep, say, a "Subathon" set on screen during the stream and a "Monthly goals" set as a channel panel.

You can create a set with New set, rename it, duplicate it, move it in the list or delete it. Each group of milestones moves from one set to another with the Move group to… menu.

Show your goals on stream

The Links & overlays card gives you, for each set, the links to use:

  • Overlay — All, or one overlay per counter, to paste into OBS as a browser source, exactly like the timer.
  • Public page, to share in your chat or as a channel panel. Your viewers pick their own language and theme there, light or dark.

The look is set in Overlay style: accent colour, text colour, transparent background for OBS, and custom CSS if you want to go further.

Start from your current subscriber count

A sub counter starts at zero, while you may already have 300 subscribers. The sync button, next to the subgoals group, brings the counter up to your current Twitch subscriber count.

That suits a goal like "reach 500 subscribers", whereas counting from zero fits "100 subs during the subathon".

A few tips

  • Start with a reachable milestone: a bar that never moves discourages more than it motivates.
  • Write concrete rewards. "200 subs = I shave my beard" lands better than "200 subs = surprise".
  • Keep few milestones visible at once: a readable overlay beats a list of fifteen lines.
