About Marathon-Timer
Everything there is to know on one page: what the tool is, what it counts, what it costs and who is behind it.
In one sentence
Marathon-Timer is a free subathon timer for live streamers: a countdown that grows whenever viewers support the stream, displayed on screen through an OBS overlay.
Key facts
- It is free: no subscription, no advertising, and no commission on subs, bits or donations.
- On Twitch it counts subs, gifted subs, re-subs, bits, power-ups, follows and raids; on YouTube, Super Chats, Super Stickers and channel memberships; on Kick, subs, gifted subs, re-subs and follows.
- It also counts donations made through Streamlabs, TipeeeStream, StreamElements and Ko-fi, as well as sales from a NineStore shop.
- Each streamer sets their own rate card, that is, how many seconds every kind of event adds to the countdown.
- Beyond the timer, it offers sub, bit and donation goals, a happy hour that multiplies the time earned for a set period, statistics with a shareable recap image, and delegated access for moderators.
- It also offers a Stream Boss: a boss on screen that the community takes down with subs, bits and donations, whoever lands the final blow taking its place. A streamer can run several, each with its own sources and lifetime (permanent, per subathon, daily, weekly or monthly).
- The interface is available in 14 languages: English, Français, Español, Deutsch, Português, Italiano, Polski, Русский, Türkçe, 日本語, 한국어, 繁體中文, 简体中文, हिन्दी.
- Signing in requires a Twitch account; YouTube, Kick and the donation services are then linked from the Connections page.
- Marathon-Timer is developed in France by Jason Rousseau, known as BideoGemu, and has been online since 2023.
- More than 3 000 streamers have created an account.
What it does not do
- It does not take payments: viewers pay the platforms, never Marathon-Timer.
- It does not store chat messages, only the events that add time.
- TikTok gifts are not supported at the moment.
